Enough! 2nd Class Citizens No More…

How Far Can You Walk in Despondency, Depression Without Help?

If we sit and think, ponder for a minute, how often in life do we get down, break ups, divorces, fights, you name it; all these cause depression or if you will short-term mental despondency!

So how can we stomach the fact we treat those whom are mentally ill as rejects, dangers to society, garbage to some?  To think that we would do this to human beings suffering from God knows, maybe perhaps a disease is sickening.  And to think they are dangerous or can’t be fixed is absurd!  A source: Pyschosurgery.com “Civil Rights for the Mentally Ill” says: “When mentally ill people are treated with dignity, they most often respond very well. When they are left to roam the streets, endure the derision that our society casts on the homeless, or are branded as criminals, they lose whatever ability they have to cope with their afflictions. Sometimes in their rage they even harass society right back, as residents of San Francisco, New York, and Los Angeles can attest.”

This is no cupcake subject!  I feel it is indeed, how we treat one another, if we look at society, why are divorces up? Fighting, crime?  Because we treat one another worse than ever I feel, we neglect the fact our lives are blessed, which should never be done.  People are too much in a hurry to claw their way up that ladder and shove others down on their way up caring not for others welfare, or being ignorant of it!

A source from the “Arizona Public Media” Kimberly Craft states: “On July 1st the state cut funding support for 12,000 mental health patients who do not qualify for the state’s Medicaid program. In fiscal 2008, the state put $127 million into caring for adults who are deemed seriously mentally ill but not poor enough to qualify for the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System and federal funding. For the coming fiscal year, the budget is $62 million. Those affected will be expected to cope with their illnesses, without most of the services that have been in place for decades.”

Is this ignorance, neglect, and who is to blame?  Government, families, friends, acquaintances, society, our general outlook on the mentally ill.  Also to put all mentally ill into a blender if you will is sickening!  To think minor depression, short-lived is classified and treated just like any other disorder being mental, is messed up!

We must begin to give a damn about our society, especially the mentally ill, whom are treated worse medically, doubted, thought to never get sick and such, which all is false (we all live and die the same)!  We definitely need more advocates and help!  If you read this, thanks, will appreciate any comments or constructive criticism, but no abuse or hate speech will be tolerated…”

It’s time we care(d) for each and every human face, being, soul, heart and such…

Much Peace Friends,  Rich;-)
